To mark their milestone, Linn produced a 50th Anniversary edition of their flagship LP12 turntable, of which only 250 will be manufactured worldwide.

News of this iconic turntable was made public with an article in the Financial Times: How to spend it online back in July of this year. In collaboration with Sir Jony Ive and his LoveFrom team, Linn claim that the Sondek LP12-50 produces the best vinyl playback performance that Linn has ever achieved.

Each turntable bears an embossed aluminum plaque celebrating this landmark collaboration and is individually numbered.

The sonic improvement comes by way of Linn’s new Bedrok ™ plinth technology formed of orthogonal layers of beech placed under extreme pressure to create an entirely new solid and missive material.  The result is an ultra-dense wood which has negligible resonance and offers a superior isolating housing the turntable’s mechanism.  Other key features include:

. All new, pressure formed Bedrok ™ plinth technology.

. Machined aluminum power/speed control button and hinges

. Space grey anodized arm board with Sondek LP12-50 model name.

. Space grey aluminum base

. Available in either natural wood or (very limited) painted white finish.

. Ekos SE, Custom-machined Keel, Urika/II, Ekstatik, Karousel, Radikal.
