Senior AV Installation Engineer

The Role
The role involves working as part of a small team, leading when required, carrying out the installation of high-end Audio Visual and Home Automation systems. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic professional, with extensive onsite installation experience and thorough knowledge of audio visual and networking distribution using home automation hardware and software.

Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must have at least 4 years residential custom installation experience within a CEDIA accredited company.
• Excellent customer facing skills are especially important, with the ability to clearly articulate what work that has been carried out and to understand what matters most to the customer.
• Be an efficient, diligent worker with the ability to lead and stay calm under pressure, understanding that work must be completed to a deadline.
• Communication skills, verbally and written, are particularly important, whether it be with the customer, a team member or 3rd party tradesperson.
• Good practical skills and an understanding of construction techniques in a residential environment.
• Experience in the following areas: Multi-room Audio Visual Systems, High End Home Cinema, Lutron, Crestron, Kaleidescape, Control4, Mechanical Automation, Satellite systems, IP configuration and Telephony.
• Programming experience for Lutron Homeworks and Control4 are essential.
• Practical skills to be able to fit flat screen TVs screens, projectors, and projector screens.
• Competent Audio-Visual knowledge including connection of Audio and Video equipment and terminating Cat5/6 sockets and equipment.
• Proficient in IP networks, wired and wireless, and have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• Can lead a team and manage trades on site as well as managing customer expectations.
• Ideally be located within the M25.
• Candidate will require a full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to safe working practices and maintaining Health and Safety requirements.
• CEDIA Installer Accreditation EST2 essential.

AV Installation Engineer

The Role

The role involves working as part of a small team, carrying out the installation of high-end Audio Visual and Home Automation systems. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic professional, with onsite installation experience and knowledge of Audio-Visual and IP network distribution using home automation hardware and software.
 

Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years residential custom installation experience, preferably within a CEDIA accredited company.
• Excellent customer facing skills are very important, with the ability to clearly articulate what work that has been carried out and to understand what matters most to the customer.
• Programming experience for Lutron Homeworks and Control4 systems is essential.
• Network skills are also essential, and the candidate must be able to fully install and configure a wired and wireless network.
• Experience in the following areas: Rack building, Hi-Fi, Home Cinema, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Mechanical Automation, Satellite systems, IT and Telephony.
• General computer skills - with an understanding of MS Office.
• Practical skills to be able to fit large flat screen televisions, projectors, and projector screens.
• Competent Audio-Visual knowledge, including termination of audio and video equipment and Cat6 sockets and equipment.
• Good practical skills and an understanding of construction techniques in a residential environment
• Be an efficient and hard worker and be able to stay calm under pressure and understand that work must be completed to a deadline
• Ideally be located within the M25.
• Candidate will require a clean full UK driving license.
• Commitment to safe working practices and maintaining Health and Safety requirements.
• CEDIA Installer Accreditation would be beneficial but not essential.
