CEDIA awards winner 2011
"A beautiful bedroom which doubles as a completely concealed media room - incredible integration. Every bedroom should be like this one". This was the view of the judges of the 2011 awards.
Grahams completed this installation in 2011 and was the CEDIA awards winner for "BEST MEDIA ROOM over £15,000"
The views from this beautiful home are stunning and the full length glass winows extend the room into the scenery beyond. The design brief from the cleint was that the system must not compromise this view. The aesthetics of the room could also not be compromised either and no electronics were to be visible with exception to the control panel.
The TV image is produced by a Vutech Lectric II screen with a silent motor installed within the ceiling at the foot of the bed. The silent motor was an essential factor to avoid the clients being disturbed when they stop viewing if tired.

The JVC projector is located in a cupboard within the dressing room located directly behind the bed. The image then projects through the depth of the wall backing onto the bed with a neat glass screen on the bedroom side to finish off the look. Locating the projector outside the room eliminates any projector noise and keeps with the room aesthetics. As with all the electronic equipment, special care was taken with regard to ventilation of the projector. |

In addition to the in ceiling projector screen we have installed B&W CCM818 directional in ceiling speakers- 3 in front of the screen and 2 above the bed (slightly behind the head position when sitting up in bed). As sub woofer is installed in one of the cupboards which was modified to allow a small Velodyne Micro V subwoofer to be installed behind acoustically transparent speaker cloth. |

Control is from a Crestron TPS6X panel adjacent to the bed which will also control the lights and blinds to adjust accordingly when opting to view the screen. The TPS6X will also display the CCTV and front door images when docked into the docking station. |
