Having successfully managed to produce an all-in-one music system that redefined what was possible from the one-box design; Arcam has taken the concept one step further by producing the Solo Mini. It may be a box that is half the size of the Solo Music, but there is no shrinkage when it comes to features. The Solo Mini is a CD,DAB/FM radio and 25wpc amplifier. In addition to this, there are 6 analogue inputs, headphone socket, remote control, alarm clock and a USB input. It will also allow I-Pod control when used in conjunction with the r-Dock.
Sonically, the Solo Mini uses various components - DAC, power supplies etc – that are used in products such as the CD73 and the Music Solo. They are simply combined in a smaller space. This means that the Solo Mini is now the perfect solution for either a system where space is at a premium or as a secondary bedroom, kitchen or study system.
